Day 1 of Press Days here on Carnaby Street, and journalists have already been asking – “Can I have this in my size? ”

For me that’s just the point of the collection and a sure way of knowing that we’ve really hit the right note with the off beat colours prints and embellishments and the very grown up feel of the collection.

When Olatoun Jolaoso approached me to create the brand with her – I was rather reluctant having never designed any children’s wear ever before.

However the charming and beautiful Nigerian born entrepreneur convinced me that the collaboration could work and now almost two years of hard work later her dream has become reality.

As we the first Petit Tribe collection launches, the great reaction so far has shown that applying the principles of international contemporary design styling fabric and print to kids has really worked.
