Dressing a Royal
Believe it or not, I’ve had dinner conversations with my dear designer friends regarding who around the table has or has not dressed a member of the Royal family. With the likes of Giorgio Armani and Stewart Parvin amongst my competition they clearly won hands down.
Whilst I can say I have dressed “fashion ” royalty during my career, up to last year dressing a royal seemed impossible, until Kate Middleton wore my Breton T- Shirt designed for client ME+EM. Images of the Duchess of Cambridge wearing the striped T shirt whilst touring New Zealand, hit the front pages of every paper and headlined in the news for two weeks as the phones at ME+EM head office rang off the hook and placed the brand firmly on the British fashion map.
Now I can join my dinner buddies and be proud that I’ve managed to dress my Royal at last. The infamous Breton Top is now back in stock and selling out fast again.
